think everyone's having a Sunday snooze sloop. the answer to your question john, in part, is whether or not your bike is unmolested. if it is all original, you may want to respray the body work to keep it original. im not sure how much a respray is, so cant help you there. my guess is £500. you do have to be careful when buying a new tank as there is a difference in the seams between the a4 tanks and the earlier ones. z1 enterprises explains this. someone here will know more. :)

Z1B Paint work

#3 PostAuthor: DogsbolloxofZ1B » Sun Feb 08, 2009 6:42 pm

I've done both, had a set resprayed by Heinz Loblien and bought a pattern set from Zed_Power and to be perfectly frank the pattern sets are near perfect copies of the original. The tank has the correct seams too.

I'd buy a set from Zed_Power.

the other option john, is to buy the new set like dogsbollocks says, then get your old set sprayed in a custom finnish. mine came with a great paint set so im going to get a spare set and have it done to my own speck.

interesting to me this as well.

the bike ive just bought is a Z900 but in Z1b candy blue. I have already got a full A4 paint set from Jack and i am hoping to have this sprayed in the original diamond green.

there is someone on here called Hutch i think and he is supposed to be the man!

not sure on his username so if your reading this hutch, can you PM me please? :D

btw...i have already called dream machine. The cost for a full paintset resprayed is £542. They collect and deliver the set back to your door for that price...but i still think that is steep
