Any advice

#1 PostAuthor: Jacko141 » Thu Nov 20, 2008 5:24 pm

I have recently bought a 1977 Z1000 which was is an American import circa 1991. I have restored many parts and the bike runs and rides fine, I have bought many parts from Z Power.

However! The throttle and front brake attachment on the handlebars is non standard and appears to have come from a Police bike as there is a switch for a siren which I am sure were non standard on these machines! The thing is that on this attachment there is no facility for a mirror, there is no place to screw one in.

I have been told that you can get a part that has a screw attachment so that you can put a mirror on it. The throttle, brake etc works fine but what I think I need is the semi circular clamp that attaches the throttle etc to the handlebars, I believe that there is one of these clamps available that also has an additional facility for attaching a mirror. The bloke at Z Power told me that the original part number is 43304001 but this does not have the mirror facility??

Does this make any sense to anyone/ Does anyone know where I might get such a part? It doesnt have to be original and may well be another manufacturer H****, Suzuki whatever?

Any help would be gratefully recieved as I am sure you can appreciate I don't want to be riding around without the mirror.

Thanks

Nick
