I have just taken a quick look at their site. It does appear legitimate. I have sent them an e-mail telling them that if they are a legitimate company they want to get their fingers out. I haven't named you, so they will have to appease everyone who is having problems if they want to clear their name

Nice work Ralph but I doubt that you'll get a reply.

Haven't yet

If I received the e-mail I sent them I'd have replied ASAP.

Don't want to jump to conclusions, but it doesn't bode well

Every one deserves the right of reply :D

Toycollector10, back to your topic heading.
I have queried these bands over the years and four things I have found

1. There are 20 listed in the Z1 parts book.. viz
92072-030 small ....10 off
92072-031 middle.... 5 off
92072-032 large .....5 off.

2. I have endevoured to find where they all fit, via other forum, without a lot of success. I did find one on the cross bar under the seat that secures the tail-light wiring and the usual four on the handle bars. A few under the tank, however, I have never accounted for the full inventory.

3. They were availabe from Kawasaki a few years ago and may still be?

4. I have found many comments where they say they tend to become brittle and break very easily.

Good luck with your erratic supplier.

The large band number 92072-032 is no longer available from Kawasaki Japan. The others retail around $2 each from retailers here in Japan.
Have you tried your local dealer? You may be surprised at how cheap they are.

Thanks gbh, that's all good information.

Re the position of the bands. Go here...

http://cu.motorcycleclassics.com/pages/ ... ery=295842

Right click the images and save them in a folder. Then use something like photoshop to enlarge the picture and also alter colour/brightness/contrast so that you can clearly see where the bands go.

I'm using these pictures as the reference for my '73 restoration. The owner is arcaneman, he's a good guy, and won't mind us using his pictures for a good purpose.

Toycollector or other members.... How many bands can you find on your Z1.
Hands up who found more than 10?
BE CAREFUL YOU MAY HAVE TO EXPLAIN WHERE THEY ALL ARE!

QUESTION: What size are the bands that hold the cables to the handlebars?

92072-303 small
92072-031 middle
92072-032 large

It would be good if someone with a stock Z1 could photograph all the bands on his bike and post up the pictures. This is information necessary for a restoration and as far as I know it's not clearly documented anywhere.

It's the short bands that are used on the handlebars...two either side.
