Is something not functioning?

By the looks of it the regulator and rectifier have been replaced by a combined unit, which is common upgrade. The standard regulator is a bit crap and causes problems so is often replaced. You have also had most of the coloured plugs chopped out. Sadly these are no longer available as I discovered when I made a new loom for my bike.

I would like to put this back to original form. And its not starting. There is no spark and the wiring is kind of shabby.

Its a 73 Z1. Thats why I want it completely original. It has everything original except the wiring looks shabby.
