I'm in the prosses of fitting a ZXR 9 swing arm into my 1100 b1 frame,
I know i've read on here the shock mounts on the frame need to be moved
out but cant remember reading an explantion for it, is it to do with the
chain or tyre hitting the shock or is there another reason.
Qustion two.
I'm thinking of changing the injection over to carbs, wot bikes would make the best donner.
Regards Col

If you're fitting a ZRX 1100/1200 twin shock swing arm, then the top shock mounts need to be spaced out to keep everything in line.
Mikuni 34mm CV carbs from a Z1000J are the ideal choice for a GPz carb conversion.
If the bike is running o.k. with the fuel injection,it's not really worth changing to carbs unless you're planning on tuning your motor, big bore, etc.
Big Green Bus is the man to speak to about GPz fuel injection systems

Cheers for the reply Jack
Its actualy a ZXR 9 swing arm ive fitted.
The frames been widened and new spacer made to accept the origanel diamiter pivot bolt.
Wots the best way of spaceing the top mounts out, i'd like it all figured out
before i weld the lower mounts on the swing arm.
Cheers Col

Col,you'd be best speaking to Steve Cundall.
He's put a fair few different arms into his GPz's and always builds a tidy bike.
He's on here as Big Green Bus,but his real identity is Big Pink Sausage the legendary male stripper and the inspiration for the film "The Full Monty"
Just don't ask him to stir your tea
