front wheel

#1 PostAuthor: crazy col » Wed Apr 09, 2008 10:55 am

Can anybody help?
I was told in a previous post that a zx6 wheel would fit my gpz1100b1 forks, are the zx7-zx9 front wheels basicaly the same?
I'm in the process of fitting a zx9r swingarm with a zx7r 5.5 rear wheel into the frame and would like the front to match.
If I have to change the forks and yokes I will, unfortunatly a lack of the folding stuff means looking at all the options.

Hello Col, are you talking about the ZX6 (ZX600 A, B & C 85-97) ZX6 (ZX600D 90-93) or ZX6 (ZX600 E & F 93-02) or the ZX6R (ZX600G & J 98-02)?, The ZX600 A B & C (85-97) uses the same wheel bearings as a GPz1100 83-84, the rest are all different, Regards, Steve

Thanks for the info.
I'll probably go for a new front end.
First a cuple of things i'd like to get straight in my head.
Does the roll pin that holds the steme in the bottom yoke on my gpz
punch straight through or will i have to drill it out?

And secondly which way does the steme press out

sorry if it sounds stupid i just like to get thing straight before i start buggering things up.
