Evening all,
I fitted a new battery today as part of the putting back together processs :D
The idiot brake light bulb was replaced as it had blown, this now flashes permently when the ignition is switched on, rear light and brake light work fine ?
also
Indicators flash very slowly and not a all with the lights on unless i flick the fasher unit then they flash once.
iI guess i need a new fasher unit ?
Any help please

Sounds more like a bad conection or earth to me.

Steve, you say idiot light on dash is flashing? this is a feature and is used to indicate that the brake lamp has blown,it does this via the outage relay which is a small grey plastic init that plug into the loom attached to a bracket on one of the coil studs,bit strange though as you say brake lamp is working?ps what is your battery voltage???Paul J

I only rode the bike for a few miles before stripping but did notice slow inictors with a pause before flashing.
Stop bulb did not work as blown

You sound like you have a short or outage relay duff,unplug the relay and see what happens?

Unplugged the outage relay and the bulb stopped flashing :D
I guess a new relay required.

David suggested swapping the flasher unit with the hazard flasher unit, I did and indicators worked perfectly. :)
New flasher unit ordered.

Outage relay are pretty rare,do crop up on ebay usa sometimes...
