I'm working blind at trying to put together all the elements of the fI system on the B1 (thanks in no small measure to Mattc here on the board for parts!).
I want to get everything hooked up correctly before attempting to start the bike for the first time.
I have been testing the components via the FSM and everything is looking good. Here's the "But"...
Where the harness connects to the Control Unit in the tail piece, the harness has a particular 'set' that seems to indicate the way round it connects to the module. Here are some pics

The module here is sitting the 'right' way up position according to the securing tabs and label.
However, it looks like this way round, the connector is the wrong way up for the module.

In this position the port on the module looks like this:

note particularly the chamfered corners of the white connector block; the central upper locking tab; and the lower central connector pin...
The harness connector however looks like this...

So either the 'set' of the cabling means the module has been connected 'wrongly' for all these years (unlikely) or it is supposed to be like this (also unlikely as the locking tab wouldn't work and the central pin would not connect to anything).
Can anyone shed any light on this? My hunch is to follow the connector/pin pattern against the suggestion of the harness. But..., I wonder...
