Hi all - searched for info on master cylinder date codes but cant find any - may be covered in John Brookes' book but no copies available to buy at moment and so don't have access.
Does anyone know how to decipher the date code stamped on the side of the master? The format is letter and a number - so is it the a letter for the month and then number for the year (Gregorian calendar)?
Cheers,
Don

The date code for the the Z1 master cylinder is shown as a single number internally i.e. 2 or 3 for 72/73 Z1.
The brake caliper bracket uses the same single number identification.
