ZRX Coolant Pipe Removal - Tips Ideas Please

#1 PostAuthor: pertonpc » Tue Nov 29, 2016 6:15 pm

Hello,
I am trying to remove the coolant apparatus so I can get to the engine better for a refresh.

There is a metal pipe running across block under the down pipes to give water inlet to each cylinder.

I have released the two 10mm bolts that hold it to the block. One above pipe, one below.

Diagram shows just one o ring 92055-1282 should now be holding the 4 connector pipes in place.

But it seems mighty stuck if that is the case.

Anyone had any success getting this pipe off without wreckage? Can't see any ideas in the Factory Service Manual.

The offending pipe is code 39192-1146. See here -

Thanks Paul,

Someone shared pics of how it looks when removed - seats quite deep in the tubes.

Gonna be penetrating spray and then some even pressure as suggested.

May see if I can adapt G clamps to be a puller device somehow.

Will let you know how it goes.

It's a t**t of a job, I deformed mine last time and replaced with new...
The rubber wedge idea sounds good though. Please let mew know how you get on!
