KZ1000 A1 Rear Footrest Assembly - Available ??

#1 PostAuthor: pertonpc » Mon Oct 24, 2016 8:09 pm

I have seen a Z1000 A1 which has rear footrests removed and replaced with a rear crash bar - which has an integrated footrest rubber instead.

How easy would it be to source new footrests and brackets ??

Is there a pattern part as per Z1 rear footrests ??

Are the brackets handed right and left ??

Does the rear footrest for any other bikes use the same part e.g. Z650 ??

Just trying to work out how much of a mission it will be to return it to standard rear footrests.

Thanks from Mark

Hi pertonpc, the brackets are not handed, they did a long one then a superceeded short one, same as the z650, the rear rubbers are still available, they hand some in z power last week, I a doing the same thing at the moment, dk had a set in last week, the patten ones out there don't fit.

Thanks David,

from what partzilla is telling me the Z400 seems to use the same bracket set up which might be handy.

Glad they are not handed brackets - that will be easier.
