How do you remove a uk z1 steering lock from the yoke? Cheers

If its the same as the 1000a1, there is a tiny slotted screw holding it in, take it out and pull the cylinder out, might want a bit of easing oil.

remove the rivet & metal flap then insert the key & turn it a quarter turn then pull it out

sorry z1 lock is secured with a small grub screw in the bottom yoke i wouldn't advise getting it re plated

mine has a split type of selok pin in the middle of the lock and 2 slots inside the headstock one for locking and one further down for unlocking so just turn the key quarter of a turn so pin in middle should be able to remove it.this is on my z1a.

There is a big difference between uk and US steering locks, is your bike a uk one. Cheers

yep small barrel with a square locating spigot running along the barrel.
