Does anyone know the amount that i can remove from the top of the valves stem on my 1100 a1 moter with under bucket shims ?
i know with over bucket shims you must have a min of 4.1mm from the top of the collett grove to the top of the valve stem, but i am unable to find the same measurment with under bucket shims.

You can tip the stems on under buckets no problem.
0.3mm is easily safe.
If you have to go more just make sure the shim doesn't bottom out and ride in the retainer or the bucket ride on the top of the retainer due to the shim being sunk too far (depends on the shim thickness).
If the bucket starts to ride, the retainer can be trimmed also but that's probably best left to someone who fully understands what they are doing.
