810 kit ID
Hi Guys, I recently bought a used 810 kit with one knackered piston and I need to ID it to get a new one. I've tried posting a pic but cannot. The only marks on the crown are an arrow and what looks like an L back to front and underneath where the gudgeon pin goes through there is 43 stamped on one side and what is either a 7 or a strange looking Z. I've been shown pics of Wiseco 810 kit and although the pistons look the same there are lots of ID marks on them so I don't think mine are Wiseco. I've been told by several people including an engineer they are forged and not cast, and as far as I know only Cosworth do another 810 kit. Can anyone help me please ? I've sent a message to Wiseco asking them the weight of one and they said "although we don't have the exact model available at the moment (GPZ 750 UT ) we have similar and a bare piston is 210 grams. Mine bare are 200. A couple of the guys on here, GPRD and Crofty have been trying to help me but so far we haven't been able to ID them. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks Stevie.
