Shock absorber identification

#1 PostAuthor: Bill Newman » Wed Dec 16, 2015 1:01 am

Does anyone recognise what kind of shocks were used on this race bike?

http://www.mortonsarchive.com/v/stock/5 ... ns-archive

or this one?

(click the picture and it expands)

Are they Girlings?

Any knowledge about these shocks or what might have been used on a Rickman factory Production Race bike at that time (the photos date to 1977 and 1978) or a pointer as to where I might find out would be most appreciated.

Thanks to all those who have replied to date - it has helped me while trying to identify the shocks on the Tony Holland race bike.

The shocks on the race bike are identical to these shown on the picture below:

Anyone know if these are Girlings too?

If so anyone know if a pattern is available - the Hagon/Girloin/Hagings :D are not the same as these.
