Hi Guys,
Could anybody let me know the 'paint codes'/ colours to repaint an 'egg and cress' 73 Z1?
Many thanks for any help.
Cheers Paul

D'know. Was always led to believe that paint codes for early Zeds never existed, hence the wide variety of shades on 'original' Bikes. However the above came up on a old thread about colours which I'd never seen before.

I think the issue is the relevance of the paint code.
A paint code is only relevant if a paint mixing scheme recognises it. I could phone a paint supplier with the paint codes which they could put it into their mixing scheme, and the code would be unrecognised. One of the oldest mixing schemes that is still updated and used is the ICI / NEXA scheme, which does have a lot of old / odd colours that date back a very long time! But unfortunately none of the Z colour schemes. So that means these Kawasaki codes aren't of any use.
