Hi does anyone know of any standard coils of any manufacturer that are 1.5 ohm resistance.
We are playing with doing an 8 plug conversion and wondered if there are any cheaper alternatives to Dyna's.

You don't have to use 1.5 ohm coils.
It's ok to go up on the recommended resistance not down so some cheap oem 2.2 ohm or even 3 ohm coils in series will do the job.
Dyna recommend up to 5 ohm coils for the dyna 'S' ignition and apparently the green 3 ohm coils are closer to 3.8 ohms in reality anyway.
I would go for some 2.2's which will result in 4.4 ohms and they will run cooler than a 3 ohm set up too.
