buy a set off an ltd and stick some decent silencers on, that would be a cheaper option for now. personally i just wouldnt want an unobtainable exhaust system on a bike that i ride, a simple drop from the stand would be priceless, what a head doer.

Those look great from Japan webike,

Probably the nearest I'm going to get.... Anyone know if they would fit onto my origional down pipes if I cut the old cans off (would the brackets be in the right place and would the creases accommodate the side stand etc.)
Another fine mess I've got myself into!

no chance z1r pipes are to fit to a collector box not down pipes take some major welding to seal.

Original A1/2 pipes are made of unobtanium - to give you an idea a NOS set sold a few months ago for £1700.

A few people have gone down the Z1 4x4 route which while not original looks much better than some of the hideous Harris style 4-1's you see on some Thou's..

I couldn't disagree more. Back in the day a huge percentage of Zeddists ditched the ugly standard systems as they sounded crap.

I have Harris pipes on my nine and thou, through choice! Nothing sounds as nice as a Harris with a packed comp baffle. They look and sound lush :drool , though I will concede that the build quality is and has always been, deplorable

Zeds need nice open pipes to breathe  Don't be choking 'em just to please nanny state
