Main Stand Stop

#1 PostAuthor: wheelysteve » Mon Sep 14, 2015 5:06 pm

Anyone have a design or know of a ready made bracket to allow the use of the main stand on a Z1B with a 4 into 1 fitted?

I'd like something quite discrete, not bits of angle iron and a door stop if at all possible !

Cheers, Steve

There is a neat bracket available, powder-coated black, try e-bay first.
I'll post a photo soon!
Unless you get satisfied in the meantime.

OK...
Here is a neat powder coated item. This was purchased from Johnny's Vintage Motorcycles Co.

This one (on right) is used by Kerker. I tried to make a duplicate, however, the wall thickness of the metal was too thin to arrest the strong spring on the stand!

These are some that I have removed off various Zeds. The lower one is an adjustable centre-stand model. Some are made out of adjustable small grinding machine "rests".

The ex-Kerker one is probably the best. It utilises one of the centre-stand bolts.

You do need something to support the prop stand. There are a few tricks for this one too! Just a little imagination and a mate who is a welder and a powder coater and you have a professional product.

Thanks Garn, that's given me a few options to look at.
