Whilst this is absolutely true and good advice, it depends on just how stuck you are - it is possible to get another set of caps from a scrap head and have them bored whilst fitted to the head and have plain bearings fitted.
Only worth it if you're really stuck, the head is really cheap and you have access to a reasonable, cheap machinist.
