900 / 1000 rear wheel rim

I'm looking for replacement rim and been offered one from a Z thou with rear disc brake. Are '76 Z900 and '77 Z1000 wheel rims the same /interchangeable ? Cheers

Hansloss, the Z900 & Z1000 rims are different.
The Z1000 has a different and directional spoke configuration. If you examine a Takasago original Z1000 rim, you will note a small arrow stamped into the rim.

I once had a z900 rim chromed and they sent me a Z1000 rim thinking they were the same. The Z1000 rim has one side spoked at a different angle, mainly because of the smaller hub diameter on one side.

you can buy new DID rims for the Z900 from Z Power and the like, (or you could), it's getting the Z1000 ones thats hard
