This is the same number on Z1A and Z1B 4x4 pipes.

There has been a discussion on another Z1 forum :roll: about these markings, but no definite conclusions from what I recall.
1975 Z1B Candy Red

DGM stands for Direzione Generale Motorizzazione
The numbers are to show compliance with Italian motoring regulations.
They did not appear on any 72/73 Z1. They first started to appear sometime during Z1A
