Z900 Z650 IDLER WHEEL RUBBER BLOCKS DO THEY JUST SIT ON TOP OF IDLER SHAFTS I HAVE SEEN YOU TUBE VIDEOS SHOWING DIFFERENT WAYS

yes just fit them on top of the shaft with the up mark on top

Put them on with a blob of grease.
That will reduce the risk of them getting knocked down the crankcase when fitting the barrel and head.
