Round tank for GPz B1/B2 frame?

#1 PostAuthor: ruffle » Sun Feb 15, 2015 10:35 am

Would anyone happen to know if any of the round tanks fit a GPz B1/B2 chassis (err... without completely gutting the tank bottom and rebuilding!) ?

I assume you mean a round as in early tank as opposed to a round J tank?

I'm sure hillbilly had a round tank , tailpiece and panels for sale a few weeks back .
They were on a GPZ frame .

The back end of the frame is wider on the GPZ. But you probably already know that.

But I'm sure some of the later tanks have extra clearance there.

I know a police tank will fit...but they have screw on fuel caps.

Maybe you just need a mallet. :P :P :P

the rear of the tank has a different mounting on the j and the gpz compaired to the early round tanks . The early tanks are held on with a rubber strap but the j/gpz pushes down into a grommet type thing. What you need is a usa j tank, I've been after one for last couple of years.
