Right got my members handbook through the post today some great content so i thought i would check my engine and frame numbers with the reference in the book my engine number is fine falls within numbers for z1b but my frame number doesn't start with a 0 it reads z1f - 56xxx and only 5 numbers do you think it has been tampered with in the past i did buy it in Ireland :wink:

Frame numbers for Z1B don't start with a zero. See here for more info on model numbers:

I think you have a Lincoln(USA) assembled KZ900 known as A5.

So all the numbers in the handbook are wrong they have a prefix 0 that they shouldn't have and since October 2013 no-one has noticed up until now?

Obviously virtually nobody reads the bloody thing why do we bother. ZPower's site is wrong too then because that was where the numbers in the handbook came from.

50,000 numbers are Z1 (B) - 500,000 numbers are KZ900 - Nebraska bikes
Lifes too short . . .
