NGK's are bullet proof in my experience.

Less than £8.00 for a set of 4 B8ES. You know it makes sense :D

To find what other plugs you could use try this Spark Plug Conversion.
Enter your favorite plug and see the equivalent makes.

Always had both feet firmly in the NGK plugs camp until lately .
Granted i have gone for the likely false economy of ebay plugs
I'm certainly happy though with my all singing Nippon Denso new plugs .

As Adrian's link these are my new ones off this same company .

Hi Geoff, was there any change to the engine performance?

Pops / Paul - great conversion chart!

Thanks everyone else on this thread, really interesting to get some fresh reviews on
spark plugs, it's been a while since anyone posted a thread about
spark plugs, I'll be buying a new set soon before a dyno tune
on my Z900, and I'm interested to get some idea of other's
experiences with different brands of spark plugs.

It just ran better and revved cleaner Jay .
Plug colour went from quite sooty to a dark grey .
I'm sure with a bit more fine tuning that i can improve it more .
I won't say i'll achieve the mythical rich tea biscuit brown colour of the plugs though
Dyna S , Dyna coils , Wired George mod and loads of swearing so it should run ok :D

There is no evidence that Iridium plugs enhance performance. In fact copper is the best conductor giving the strongest spark. This is why it forms the core of all plugs, Including Iridium. The main advantage of Iridium is longevity hence the extra cost.

Regular changing of consumables is the only way. stop trying to stretch service intervals. this leads to misery :( :(

Yes, I'm a great believer in regular fresh oil and filter service intervals.
I agree with Adrian about Iridium plugs lasting longer. Makes economical sense is all.

I've heard of a saying "Don't drink alcohol, this way leads to madness".
I don't know if there is any scientific evidence to support this though
Still, it is a good idea to stop drinking too much alcohol. Peace yo :-)

I eventually bought DENSO Iridium plugs, so far no probs.
I noticed a bit of an improvement, but may just be the fact
they are new plugs. Perhaps the placebo effect, but I do
like that they have brass connecting tips that the coil lead plugs on to,
very nice quality!
