popping through exhaust z1b,
hi ,what causes occasional pop in no 1 exhaust, bike runs fine only seems to do it at idle, checked plugs and leads, valve clearances and timing ok,will pull cleanly from 1500 revs in top as smooth as ever, pull over and let it idle and every now and then does a little fart popping sound in no 1 exhaust, thought it was pilot air blockage but just put carb cleaner through and can"t see any blockages.

x2 check all exhaust joints and carb rubbers as well,i have found exhaust leaks by holding a blow lamp by the joint if it goes out exhaust gas is killing the flame on the lblowlamp, you can also tell were the leak is by spraying wd40 around the joint and see if the prob goes away...

checked all that can"t see anything obvious, blew out pilot system no blockages, checked jets also clean, fired up ticks over ok then after about 20 secs a little pop on no 1 again, screwed completly in then backed out pilot screw slowly until completely out then removed it and still idled at same revs, why no change in revs would have thought engine would have cut out puzzled now, had enough now sun is shining so off out on the z1a

ZedHead, what are you saying here?
Are you thinking the tight screws will bow the inlet rubber steel plate and allow air in?
Or, maybe the small rubber lip on the inlet rubber will become ineffective?
I usually do them up pretty tight.
