Air box silencer

#1 PostAuthor: Wayne1960 » Sat Apr 12, 2014 6:24 am

I need to find an air box silencer for my A4. I know these are a rare item and after searching have found nothing.
Anyone have one or know where I can get hold of one? Does anyone make replicas?
Is it possible to make one?
Just purchased a 1976 UK Z900 A4 for renovation. Wish me luck.
Bike now finished what a joy!

Wayne.... Don't know if this is true!
I have heard of a guy that found, an empty Coke aluminium can, with a suitable amount of holes cut in the sides, covered with some 3/8" foam, then covered with black vinyl, open at both ends ..looked the part. Not sure how he clamped it!

Yeh I thought of something like that but need more detail to make something more authentic. If anyone has some pictures and sizes I can get one made.
What's it made of?
What's the diameter?
What's the length?
What's size are the holes?
I have a company that made me new chrome tops for my rear suspension springs and a replica baffle for my exhaust so they could easily make me a silencer if I had more detail.
