Fred,
Just picking up on what you said, about the spindle not being long enough with the dresda fitted, i have fitted a number of dresda's and never had a problem with the standard spindle fitting!
Might be worth a double check everything is together properly and in line.

Fred could you use a thicker washer between swingarm and nut to make up the gap? Mine was the same with the Dresda, the hole for the clip is just out.
