#1 PostAuthor: kawasakichris » Tue Mar 11, 2014 7:13 pm

I am looking to replace the original regulator and rectifier with a combined unit. Z power one says it's for z1 73-75, anyone know where to get one [preferably in uk] and know of any pit falls I could come across. Thanks in advance Chris

I noticed on another post some interest in combined reg/rectifier units the wassel unit I bought fitted under the battery box with the mounting holes elongated a little used an old knackered regulator chopped off the plug soldered and heat shrinked the joints works a treat 14.3v at 4000 rpm and only £29!!! did 120 miles at the weekend up to hartside with the triples boys ran like a dream

Yes, whack the combined unit under the battery box, leave the Rectifier in place (other than the power wire) Do a bit of Jiggery Pokery with the plugs and hey presto, no one will really know the difference. :D
