Resto Questions

#1 PostAuthor: G » Tue Mar 04, 2014 7:25 am

Hi, Have searched and sent a few p.m.s to the wrong people but looking for advice and contacts on the following please re my a4 resto.

1/ Who is the person that refurbs switches ?
2/ And the same for brake master cylinder ?
3/ Finally any advice for refurbing throttle cables . Was just going to get them rezinced where appropriate but the curved sleeve that goes into switch/throttle is chromed ?

Thanks in advance G

Buy new throttle cables, bit of a waste of time trying to get that curved sleeve re-chromed. They are a consumable. I do find that curved section is the most rust prone of all the parts on the bike!

I agree with Garn G, you could spend more having the bits on your cables re zinced and chromed than the cost of new cables. I am sure original kawasaki throttle cables are still available from zpower. Hope your resto is going well mate!

G, pretty sure the switch resto was undertaken by "Zed man" - send him a PM.

I know him from another forum (Kettleclinick), and he refurbs switches for GT750 also.

Cheers Tim
