#1 PostAuthor: Muddychris » Sun Oct 14, 2007 4:06 pm

As per the signature where does this bit go. I assume that the large copper bit in the bottom right hand corner goes to the battery and i think the other bends are earths but where do they go

Hope you can help again

Looks like its the earth lead. The big bit goes on the battery and the other end goes onto a small 10m (head) bolt on the engine just behind the kickstarter. One of the bullet connectors, if i remember corectly without going and looking, goes to the starter solonoid, cant remember the other one but someone will know, i can go and look if you want,

Earth wire, on my Z1000A1 the round terminal of the thick wire is to battery negative, the other end is bolted to the back of the battery box earthing to frame, and the smaller wire coming from the round terminal goes to the engine earthing point behind the kickstart shaft. mine doesn't have the other small wire that comes from the bigger terminal, I don't know if this is correct or not it is just how mine is.

The last one connects to the rectifier.

What i had too do was one to the battery one to the starter solenoid one to the rectifier the other would'nt reach to a bolt on the ngine for the engine earth. So what i did was earth it to the fram then had to go out and buy an earth strap that goes from the battery to the engine.

Now th engine turns over but as yet does'nt start. I think its the timing between the pistons being up and the spark from the plug not being together.

Is there any easy way of timing this up?

Cheers
