carburetor help

Hi

Sid here - working on a new project - z1000 st

Can someone help with a question on the carburetors, they are similar to the carbs on my Z900 (NON cv type with three screws on top cover )

However they also have an adjustment screw with a tapered end and spring located underneath by the float bowl on the side towards the head. - looks like a mixture screw for idle mixture but not sure

I've looked in the workshop manuals i have but cannot see any info on them

Can anyone advise what should be the basic setting ( i.e number of turns out from seated position )

Also any info on setting up would be great

Keith you were right - gs 100 carbs - 28 mm - looks like someone in past has fitted them for more umph

any way all sorted now stripped all jets put all parts in ultrasonic cleaner and rebuilt - runs a dream :0
