z 1000h again

#1 PostAuthor: hoood469 » Sun Sep 29, 2013 6:33 pm

so the H has decided to throw a wobbly again !!

It runs then it doesn't then it runs then it doesn't !

Anyway after stripping everything down rewiring the injection loom changing everything pump, regulator, relay cleaning the injectors you name it I've done it, to no avail. so on day 4 I for got to attach the temp sensor wire and it ran !! attach it, it doesn't replaced the sensor with a good one same thing doesn't like it
it runs crisp probably better than ever with it not connected so is it the brain ? I would have thought it wouldn't run with it connected
also why would it be intermittent it ran last week for a whole day with it connected all of the loom has been replaced so no faulty joints etc
Anybody got any ideas ?

yeah I know Ollie, logic says it shouldn't run without a signal,
took it for a ride today wouldn't pull missing like a pig, further investigation needed would prefer a H over a MKII but the carbs are on the bench !!

the most common problem iv'e found with all poor running F.I. models is the fuel return valve back into the tank sticking not opening fully....
straightening the curves and flattening the hills
