Vance and Hines 4-1 onto a Z1R

#1 PostAuthor: Fred the Zed » Tue Jun 25, 2013 7:48 pm

Hi

Has anyone got any experience of grafting a Z1000 Vance and Hines 4-1 onto a 78 Z1R?

I'm told that the silencer mounting might need a bit of a fabrication making up to fit it and if it does .... has anyone got a photo or template that I can use to save me endless hours of buggering about please???

Cheers

Answer-

A V&H 4-1 for a Z1000 will fit a Z1R, all you need to do is use a rat-tail file to slightly widen the hole in the silencer hanger bracket. I also junked the centre stand to stop it flapping about. Otherwise it fits perfectly (and saves about 36 tonnes in weight!)
