Tarozzi Fork Brace for Z1000 Mark II

#1 PostAuthor: njwmct » Wed Jul 10, 2013 9:28 pm

Anyone know if Tarozzi do a fork brace that fits the Mark II ?

I've found the following Tarozzi part no.s:

23-0012 - Z1000 A1-A2

23-0014 - Z1R

Not sure what the difference between the above 2 would be?

Not trying to steal the thread but I am after a fork brace, Tarozzi,Telefix or Micron for an ST and I figure all the dims are the same as a Mk 2 and maybe an H or a J , would one fit all ?

Tarozzi list a different part no. for the ST (23-0011) - think the dia of the fork stanchions is possibly larger than the MK 2

 Bugger and blast, why did they have to make everything on the ST slightly different from the Mk2 , its only a chain /shaft thing after all , is n't it?
I have a Mk 2 mudguard on one of my Zs but I never measured the forks, maybe I need to cross reference the manuals ?

Yep same as above but I've got 1000rx forklegs in mine which are the same diameter as our ST originals but it gives you another forkbrace which might fit, long time ago in Bradford a certain motorbike shop had an ST in, bent leggies (oops) the shop owner told the mechanic to fit some z1000j legs which were good BUT 2mm smaller so obviously clamped up tight the pinch gap was together but not safe so you may have already guessed out came the angle grinder gap restored butchery at its finest beware some of this lot may still be out there, be warned. I still want another Gpz11 B1/2 in my heart of hearts I'll build myself one then I'll know its right, jeepers just used all the stainless fasteners on the ST!!!

mmm, ta for that, just had a look for a 1000RX brace on ebay and there are 2 but it looks like I would need a lot of other clamps made up for me to fit the brace on, still I am at work so have not looked too clearly. Have you got any pix of yours please?
