Kawasaki parts cross reference software

#1 PostAuthor: Vendetta761 » Thu Jun 13, 2013 2:45 pm

Hi there, has anyone used this partsearch software:

http://www.zedder.com/msg6.htm

, it seems to show all the bikes that use the same part, i.e Z 1000 St uses the same swing arm bearings as a GT550.

Whenever I havent been able to find parts for my bikes sometimes I know other bikes or vehicles use the same part and its a lot cheaper or easily available.

It got recommended to me in France when one of my coils went down and a decent French guys stopped to help and said he knew a Citroen Saxo coil was the same as a Z1000 one, went to a scrappy, bought one for £5 and this got me all the way round France and back to Blighty again.

Just thought I would ask for opinions before shelling out cash but it might be a good saver in the long run or maybe someone else has it ?

Sounds brilliant if it works.
That would be a great feature for the Members Only section of the forum if it ever appears.

i have it and yes it works but only on kawasaki or whichever manufacturer you select i.e it will not tell you a bearing for a z1 will fit a gs1000, but will tell you a z1 bearing also fits a z750(as an example) dont think it will be of any use in the members only section for general use as i think it can only be used on 1 pc.

I have had both the Kwakka and Suzi Zedder cross reference
A lot of the parts websites do the same thing now.

The Kawasaki web site is better. I bought a CD a few years ago and was hugely disappointed.

One of the failings on the CD I have is the lack of supersession information on parts - essentially making it useless. I don't know if he fixed this or not. When I complained to him he didn't seem to care.
