Well I am finally nearing the time when the top end and other bits will go back on the bike. (Never thought I would get there)
Anyway, thoughts came around to the cam chain and the fact that this will be the last time I will see it hopefully! So should I replace it? I was told by GB that he never replaced it when the bike was recovered to it's current state. With no definitive knowledge of the mileage I feel inclined to lob a new one in. Though obviously with the limitation that it will need to be a split chain, either re-pinned or "good ol fashioned" link.
Has anyone done this one the big Zs? What chain did the you use. I know it is not ideal not using an endless one but surely a new split chain would ne better than an old indetermate mileage one (propably the wrong side of 30K for sure)
