Battery Size

#1 PostAuthor: Jumbo » Sun Mar 10, 2013 2:59 pm

What is the "correct" battery for a z900A4. Mine has a YB10L-A2 but there looks to be room for a taller battery. I have just pulled the battery out of the Rickman and that is a YB14L-A2. Which is the same footprint but taller.

Looking on Ebay for "z900 battery" shows both batteries !!

I am going to order two new AGM MotoBatt's tomorrow as the other ones never seem to last !

The a4 was fitted with a smaller battery than the z1, about a inch shorter. YB10 is correct to fit the Yb14 the battery box needs to be modified.

I've just bought a YB14L-A2 for my Z1R , it fits in the battery tray on my Z650 but i can't close the seat fully .
Z650 needs a YB10L-A2 which is 19mm shorter and 20CCA less .
