Tank ID Help

I picked this up earlier this year and im not sure which model/year it is so any help in ID`ing it would be appreciated

Many years ago I popped one like that out on a Z900 tank using compressed air.

A mate noticed I had done it and asked how....so I told him and he attempted it on his own damaged tank.

What I failed to tell him is that you must support both sides of the tank. so when he tried it the tank just splayed open so it ended up twice as wide and nearly flat. !!!! :shock: :D

I`m probably wrong but I thought when the weld was on the inside it was a Z1,please correct me if I am wrong .

I have taken out dents on chrome with heating the area not to hot . then putting a block of dry ice( the size of the dent ) wrapped in a dish towel ,Apply it to the dented area . Looks like a z1

Thats right Ted as per above photo with tank upside down ,

seam on inside Z1,a,b ,seam on outer side Z900

(so this is from Z1a looking at the paint colour )
