Z1b float hight? using the upside down method

Can anybody give me the hight to the top of float using the upside down method, measuring from the gasket face of the carb body, in mm's please.

kawasaki do not recommend a float hight only a fuel level checked with special tool

I set my Z1a up at 21mm using the upside down method. not had any problems to date.

No you don't need to take them off, just angle them away so you dont end up looking up your own arse :P

Clymer (end of Chap7) has a list of settings from '73 Z1 thru to '79 Z1000,
They recommend ..all Z1, Z1A & Z1B have float levels set at 24 mm +- lmm.
That's 3.5 mm down from the bottom-most flange of the carb top!
Must admit, I often have needle & seat leaking troubles, even after replacing them.
I always think there is more pressure on the needle to seat, if the levels are set, such that the float will trying to force them together! Am I correct?
