upon arrival at Brands today i noticed that the K & Ns were smoking a little, but didnt do it when i got back home.
The smoke was a very wispy greyish colour. I put this down to them being a little oily after i had cleaned and oiled them and the heat had burnt off excess residue,is this normal for K & Ns or should i start to panic.Bike still pulls well, sounds ok and doesnt smoke from the exhaust upon start up,acceleration etc.

As long as it's not spitting back it'll probably be whatever you cleaned them with evaporating.

Sure it wasnt as i would expect some nasty noises from the engine and smoke from other parts. Cleaned them with K & N oil spray cleaner. Gave it a quick run out this evening and all seems fine so hopefully its burnt itself off.
