haven't heard back from Metmachex
keen to see some pics if you got any charlie?
The bike is not at mine at present, nor is the swing arm (it isn't fitted at the moment) cos I am having some brackets added and then it's back off for polishing.
Identical to this though

Why do I persist in debating with idiots ? I really should know better

Could this be made to fit?

They do look nice. I am only assuming they still manufacture this ?? haven't heard back will need to resend email. It save a lot of friggn around to be able to use the standard standard spacers.
Not sure about CB900f trying to find out about this stuff myself
I assume a 160 tyre will only fit with offset sprockets and chain conversion. Any one know how to set up the drum brakes with this combo
thanks for the help pretty keen on these think they are nicer over PMC

thanks for posts one last Q are you running standard length shocks?
cheers Jason
I have done std. rear shox (IIRC std is 320mm), but the ones on at the mo' are 335mm rebuilt Marzocchi Strada's. I also have a set of 365mm rebuilt Strada's as well. They all go on and fit OK.
I may have cornered the market on friggin used Marzocchi Strada's

Not many stradas down here i bought a set of YSS 350mm but was thinking they might be a bit long for the swing arm so might have to move the mounts back I could possibly swap them over to 330? they can be length adjusted 30mm I am using standard mounts im in two minds whether to rake the top mounts or not? I know i said one last Q???? does the 365 jack the rear up high? or look ok?
sent another email to metmachex so hopefully soon
thank Jason
Yeah the 365mm shox do shove the back up, but not so as it starts looking silly I dont think. It's only about 1.5/1.75" over stock anyway and when someone is on it, it just squats down as normal. If I didn't tell anyone, I doubt they would even notice as the bike is not stock anyway
Really if I am honest I probably run the 335mm shox cos I had those shock bodies powder coated whereas on the 365mm shocks, the bodies are just painted...and the powder coated finish is more durable than the painted one.
Springs and spring seats are powder coated on both sets so that is not an issue.
This is a last years pic of the 335mm units on the stock swinger with the rear mudguard already removed and a Z Power under tail kit (from a Z900) fitted. ( sorry about the rim tape
) The engine bars have gone now too.
.. another inch or thereabouts on top of that ^^ makes very little visual difference really.

Hey Charlie
Thanks for the replies and pics 650 looks good. like the fender eliminator Zpower you say will take a look.
Have had several responses from metmachex very helpful they say that the standard off shelf low brace z900 wont fit a 160 and will there fore need a custom arm. Waiting on shock mount dimensions (length and height) before going ahead. But pretty much the same as yours. If the shock is positioned further back than standard mounts i might stick with my new 350mm YSS if not i may have to box em up and ask for 340s
Not sure how they will take that??? Will keep you posted how it progresses.
thanks Jason
