Carb Part part number

#1 PostAuthor: carpy » Mon Apr 30, 2012 9:52 pm

Hi all, from what I can gather the carbs I have fitted to my zed bitsa are 28mm z1b carbs with the drain plug on the side of the float bowls. I cant find a parts diagram of this particular type only one with the drain plug on the bottom of the float bowl, dont know if it matters. Problem I have is the throttle pulley has knackered holes where the cables attach and I cant find its part number to try and source a replacement. Any ideas as there seem to be loads.
Cheers.

Gee Carpy, I'm not sure if these butterfly shaped throttle pulleys are the same for both Z1 thru to Z1B. I know they are different in the pilot jets & float bowl, and spring configuration, otherwise they are the same.
Anyways, I think you will have trouble getting one.
I think they are just pressed sheet metal on both.
How about repair (silver-solder) old one and re-zinc?

there are 4 different part numbers it all depends on your frame no as to what pulley wheel is fitted but if you say you bike is a bitsa you will find it very difficult to find a replacement i have seen them for sale in the us. i am sure someone who is into fabricating should be able to weld or braze a new piece of material over the worn part of the pulley
