#1 PostAuthor: RUDDY » Sun Apr 01, 2012 11:13 am

Guys, ZX9R-B usd forks and yoke, are these a potential option for Z1000R, whats the fork length like ?

Ebay is a dangerous place for putting ideas in your head.

All the best, Paul

I've got ZX9R-B3/4 forks on this. Fitted with standard 9R bottom yoke & ZX7R top yoke (7R yoke sits lower than the 9R pushing the forks slightly lower down)

Stansions will probably need re-chroming. I found there was no real cost difference having the re-chromed or buying replacement stantions from Wemoto.
Hard Chrome Plating & Grinding will remove the lower feet for you if you opt for re-chroming.

From memory they're around 770mm from top to the centre of the spindle. I'll whip me tape out later & double check for you.

Is that a ZX9 swinger in there as well?
Did you have to machine it to get it in?

Gary, Swinger is Suzuki GSXR600 SRAD, pretty much goes straight in, you just need to sleeve the pivot spindle. I think tlc discovered that the SRAD spindle has the correct id, to suit the od of your Zed spindle, making it a really easy job.
