Fork Tubes

#1 PostAuthor: redzee » Mon Mar 19, 2012 9:58 pm

Guys,
Does anyone know if Z1000J1 (1981) fork tubes are the same as/will fit my Z1000J3 (1983)?
Cheers

the j1/j2 are the same + the air valve is part of the fork top nut .the j3 has a hole in the tubes just above the bottom yoke + is covered + sealed by the air transfer tube which links the two tubes with air.

Cheers z1bman,
So if I took a pair of J1 tubes to work and blasted in new air holes in correct places (with a CNC EDM sinker) I would then have forks the same as the grotty J3 pair I have now.
Cheers for that.
