Carb rubbers- GPz1100 unitrak

#1 PostAuthor: Gyesdad » Thu Mar 01, 2012 9:31 pm

My ZX1100 Unitrak had carbs fitted when I bought it but the rubbers to the head have started to crack. Couple of things:
I don't know what carbs are fitted to it, are there any identification marks on them that will help me? They are CV carbs, but that's all I can tell.
Does the type of CV carb determine which rubbers I need to buy, or is there a standard fitment?
If there's a standard fitment, what bike are they for (eg Z1000J) and were do I go to buy them?
Thanks in advance! :)

Z1enterprises will sort you out.

I believe there are two types, one with a 'v' shaped groove & one with a semicircular groove. Ask them which is right for you.

If they do look like this then as Bear says there are two types. The type that goes with these is the simicircular groove ones which i think they all are now because the early types were superseeded i believe.

There are cheaper versions than genuine available but i have had some and found them inferior.
Last time i bought some from Z Power they did the club discount thing wihch stopped me crying,,,,well at least out of one eye!!!!!!!

They look like the ones fitted Al.
I'll take a photo tomorrow, it may help rather than members having to guess based on my lack of knowledge!
