You could also try Paladin Tools, they do the crimping pliers, (1300 series) & a hugh selection of interchangeable dies for all manner of crimp terminals including telephone sockets, auto type crimps, fibre optics, co-ax plugs, etc, etc.
Not sure on cost, but I'd imagine they are cheaper than RS.

Works like a beaut!
I'll get some pics tomorrow night (24hrs from now)
Those non-latching plug shells are also a direct replacement for the originals, and the little extra things like the black sleeve for the harnesses just make it all too easy in my opinion.

This is an original insulator of course. But I don't think it'd be easy to melt the ends flat as the factory did? Then again maybe something as simple as a hot pair of pliers or the like may do it?
