Calliper choices for Z1000J

#1 PostAuthor: Big Fluff » Sun Jan 22, 2012 1:35 pm

I would like to fit some decent calipers up front on my Z1000J, whilst retaining the standard front wheel.

Are there any dual piston calipers that will fit straight on without mods :?:

The only thing you can get that will bolt straight on are Billets or Pretechs to the best of my knowledge. H**** Blackbird ( or something) calipers which have three pistons on the outside working against a pad on the inside would probably fit but would need adapter plates.

Back in the day....Harris used to do calipers and the adapter plates, might be worth a call?

Only floating piston calipers will work (with an adapter), but to the best of my knowledge I wonder, whether there will be any substantial gains over the old single-pots with a nice 14mm brake pump and some nice EBC sinter pads.
There's no replacement for displacement!
