Z1A speedo restoration

#1 PostAuthor: DaveZ1 » Sun Dec 04, 2011 9:23 am

Thought I would have a go at replacing the clock face on my Z1A speedo and after Stripping down and carefully opening the crimped ring to get the clock halves apart I then managed to snap the small shaft the pointer pushes onto.
Does anyone Know if this can be repaired or a replacement pin installed ? It looks a bit too intricate for me to go any further.

Hi Dave,
That's bad news. Contact Al Marshall on this forum for help and advice on Z1 speedos and tachos.

He does restoration work on them and probably has some spare parts available.
